Daniel Cronquist is a civil engineer for a private consulting firm, has a master's degree in civil engineering, and teaches engineering part time at a local community college. He has led Bible studies and is active in his local church.

God has given Dan a deep love for Japanese culture and the Japanese people. In the summer of 2005 he was fortunate to spend 4 weeks in Japan and another 2 weeks in 2007. As you may imagine, he has a large anime collection, but Haibane Renmei is special to him. Dan has led classes on the themes developed in this book several times.
